Don & 5er folks,

I saw "this" kind of look on Breyton's web site (breyton.com), and I thought it looked good and clean, all the way around same color. On the side/front/rear that is, however, I am not a fan about painting between the front/back roll down windows . What do you folks think?

: Marco, are you really want to paint out all the trim on the car? The monotone look seems to work on black cars, but when you go to lighter colors, in my opinion the car will start to look blocky....BMW cleaverly uses the strip to break up the mass of the car. For an example of what not to do, look at the Volvo S/V70 standard models vs. the V70 XC. When they morphed that car from the 850, they painted all the trim strips to match the car. Now they look more like a new bar of soap - blocky and strange. My second car is a V70 wagon and w/o the black rub strips the bumpers get all sorts of nicks, etc . Think twice before commiting to this monotone look.
: : Hello 5er folks,

: : I am planning on painting the side/front/rear black molding to same color as the color. However, my E39 is 1997 model, which the chrome strip on top of the black molding is all the way around. I've heard that the 98? model have the black moldings ONLY, without the chrome strip. Can those be purchase and does anyone have part #S or have anyone done it?

: : Happy Cruzing..
