The BMW Aero kit is on and it looks great!!!! I was a little bored with the standard lines of the 1998 E39 I just picked up. The aero kit front spoiler, side aprons, and rear looks awesome!!! It really made my arctic silver 540 look tougher. I felt the standard trim although very elegant, wasn't tough enough for the power of the 540. I didn't want to go totally B boy though either. Marco much props to your kit, but I wanted a little less flash. The BMW kit ended up pretty subtle, but bad ass. Looks great with my 5 spoke BMW allow rims.

Still the standard kit has no way to put a sport exhaust showing chrome like Marcos, but i've gotten over it. When I get my pictures back I'll post them. No problems at all with clearance(driveways, speed bumps etc). I was worried about that putting it on. I just have to be more careful parking next to high curbs up front.

If anyone has similar tastes subtle but a tad bit harder looking than the standard lines go ahead and do it. Really makes the car look sportier in subtle way.

: I may be blowing smoke but I'm sure the BMW Aerokit comes with a removable panel on the rear valance to allow aftermarket rear silencers to be used. I think the Aerokit is sharp looking without being "boy racer" so I hope I'm right. Good luck.
: : I just picked up my 98 540i 6sp and have ordered an aerokit from BMW. (What a great purchase!!) I wanted to sport the thing up a little bit and thought the aerokit from BMW was very subtle and it would match the 5 spoke rims. So I have that ordered. I am slightly annoyed that the 540 aero kit as well as the 540 does not show the tailpipes. The tailpipe is bent down hidden behind the skirts. I have seen the rear spoiler and sport exhaust from RDSPORT that remedies BMW's oversight. Anyone familiar with the RDSPORT kit. Any opther kits that show tailpipes? Any recomendations? Can you mix and match the BMW front spoiler and side skirts with the RDsport rear apron with sport exhaust.(don't see why not?)

: : Anyone put different fog lights in the 540i? What did you go with? The factory ones are nice yet not quite bright enough.

: : Thanks,
