I have a set of Firestone SZ50s for street use on my Corvette. They grip really well. Not as well as my race tires (Yoko A008RII), but much better than the Goodyears that were on it before. They are also quiet, and cost less than the Goodyears. They appear to be wearing quite well.

: I have replaced my 1997 E39 528 with six Goodyears F1...burst one in the first three hours on normal road use ( was sliced by a flat sharp debris dropped from a truck !!? ) ... burst the second the next day... excessive pressure ??? No warranty... fortunately, no major drama, car was stable at speed about 140km/h.

: I have tried Michelins, burn rubber much too fast. It takes about 14,000km before they are smooth as donuts :)) Replaced rear twice before convert to Dunlop SP.

: The other car is using Goodrich tires.. so far so good.
: Any experience to share ??
