Oh really? I live in Northern CA and don't have a front on my 540, nor with my last car (318is). I never had a cop pull me over (knock on wood). I see cars here all the time without front plates. Yes, the law in CA requires that you have a front plate, but the cops don't really pay attention to it...unless he is a rookie.

pa: Just saw at least 5 Bimmers and Mercs with the Euro tourist plates on the front over the last few days. Can you do this? I got a ticket for having no front plates in San Francisco.
