I have a Valentine 1 and I don't think that there is anything better on the market in the detection field. Has saved my bacon many times. Nothing is going to give you much help against instant on radar unless someone ahead of you gets zapped first.

I am personally very skeptical about the jammers that are advertised. I read an article a while back that tested several and none were effective. As I recall, one unit even made it EASIER for your speed to be read.

: I just got my first speeding ticket in my '97 540i 6-speed and I shouldn't have been caught! The cop was headed East bound and I was going West on the interstate. I know that there are radar detectors and laser jammers on the market but are they really worth the cost? In your opinion, what are the best products and are any foolproof? Also, I've seen some companies offer a money-back guarantee on their products if you get a ticket in the first year. Any thought on these guarantees?
