The best place for the remote is either between the steering wheel spokes or just to the side--so you can easily see it when driving.

If you are really skilled you could mount the remote for the V1 in the dash. If you are semi-skilled, you could mount the V1 on the left side of the right side visor, then run the wire down the left A pillar. (I would suggest running the wire behind the head airbag.) Then you could mount the remote unit on the front edge of the lower ledge of the instrument cluster in front of the service indicator lights. This can be mounted with a bit of velcro. The wire could then come up behind the back edge of that ledge but just in front of the clear plastic in front of the instrument cluster. Every 8000 miles or so you would then have to look around the back of the remote and see how many green lights were lit up.

If you come up with any better ideas please post them.

: Has anyone installed a Litadek in an E39? If so, was it straightforward and doable by myself (above average stereo install skills)?

: Also, does anyone have interesting ideas for remoting a Valentine 1?

: Regards to all,
: Dave
