I received an e-mail from one of the BMW Digesters and he informed me that Bon Ami makes two products!!

Bon Ami Original Cleaning Powder from the
rectangular box, that's okay for glass because it's feldspar and soap. No scratches.

The Bon Ami Cleanser is their Kitchen and Bath Cleanser, in the round can. This contains calcium carbonate and has been known, under certain conditions, to scratch glass. Bon Ami does not recommend this product for glass and mirrors.
