I may need some English lesson (thanks for your correction on my typo) but,for sure, you need a bit logic training. Of course, the point here is not comparing sales volume with common car (unless you think your E39 is common)like Accord. The sales increase of GS model is a idication that Lexus's new strategy works for those who looking for high performance sedean while not willing to compromise on overall ride quality and reliability. I will bet you that the sales of E39 has suffered quite a bit due to GS400. There is no argument about this fact.

E39 is certainly a great car. However, it maybe too much to call it the Ultimate driving machine. The new M5 or AMG's E55 should deserve "Ultimate driving machine" in my opinion. I certainly will look into these two cars after my company go IPO.

I originally thought about buying 540i or E430. After getting some feedback among my friends who own 540i or E430, I was not quite sure the overall build and ride quality compared with GS400. So, I got my GS400 last month and have been very happy with it.
