: I like the appearance of the response graph you posted and was wondering which software you used. I've been using MLSSA and LMS, which are great except that the graph functions are pretty "basic" artistically. Sometimes I have the need for something a little fancier for publication and have to go through the export process and tweak the data with different software.

The software is called SpectraRTA which is produced by a company called Sound Technology. You can download a 30 day trial copy and try it out for yourself. The nice thing is that it'll show you 1/3 and 1/6 octave frequency graphs. They have much fancier software for doing all sorts of acoustical analysis.

BTW, what you see in my graph is the output of the preamp stage for the front woofer, mid and tweet with a pink noise source. The white line is the mathematical sum of the three lines. Of course, my DSP was turned off and tone controls set flat. Wierd that it's not close to flat, huh? I double checked my setup with a home system, which does read flat across the board.

I also noticed that the mids were inverted relative to the woof & tweet, but otherwise time aligned. I tested this with a 1kHz and 10kHz tone modulated by a 1Hz square wave envelope. Obviously this helps with phase cancellation at the crossover points. Just thought you'd be interested...

BTW, I added a P840 to my system to power the fronts. I'm thinking about about combining the mids and tweets together using an E.J. Jordan S.P.S. driver, which should play 1200Hz to 20kHz nicely. I have my tweeter channels going into channels 1/2 of the P840, and the mids going to 3/4. I need to generate TWEET + (-MID). Can I achieve this by wiring one S.P.S. across the (+) terminals of channels 1 and 3 and the other across the (-) of 2/4 ?? In effect, "bridging" TWEET and -MID?? I know, it sounds wierd.
