why doesn't BMW have a loaner car program? (archive)

I have an Infiniti I30 that I absolutely adore! :) I get a free loaner car everytime I take my car to the dealer to get it serviced. On the other hand, a close friend recently bought a 328 and the dealer offered a rental car to him at a "low" price of $10/day when he took his car for some scheduled maintenance service work. So, my question is why doesn't BMW have a similar free loaner car program (like the Infiniti)? btw, Infiniti offers the free loaner cars for all their models (starting from the G20 that runs approx $23k)!
