It is amazing how $60K can't get you a loaner car when you bring the car in for some service. I recently had the car serviced by the dealer and I had to settle with a Pontiac Sunfire (nothing wrong w/ the car but the dealer wouldn't pay for something better, saying I have to pay out of my own pocket if I want to UPGRADE, and the car is just a bit small for business). And when the service took longer than expected (in this case it took them two more days to fix the problem), I had to call in to make sure the rental car was free!
As a business major, I would think it wouldn't cost the dealer a fortune to have several loaner cars (it doesn't even have to be the latest model or the high-end bimmers). Of all those talk about better services by bmw people, one would think a simple gesture like loaner car will go a long way...
