I see that once again we have lots of questions about the a/d/s/ upgrade. I had the a/d/s/ system installed at the end of june/ early august and wrote about the problems i had. I left on a work trip for a while and now I am back and I still have the same problem with the rattling/buzzing in the speakers.
I think the a/d/s/ equipment sounds really good, especially considering the really sweet deal I got on them since a/d/s/ sold directly to me because they don't have an agent in my country. The speakers plus sub plus the amp all together cost me about $1100 dollars, after adding air freight, customs duty, and installation fees the total came out to just under the retail price on a/d/s/'s site.
My problem is with the vibration that I get from the speakers themselves. I checked. It is not the door panels or the rear shelf or any part of the car that causes the annoying sound. It is the speakers themselves. It can't be that they aren't installed tight enough. It sounds as if they are vibrating against their own enclosure. Should I try to add padding underneath the screws or the enclosure? It gets on my nerves so much how whenever a song has a deep bassline i hear the rattling or buzzing simultaneously from all the speakers. Even at low volumes. That's not what I paid all this money for!
And please don't tell me that I should set the tone levels flat and rely on the sub for all the bass. If that was the case then why did we change the door and rear speakers to ones with better woofers and cones? I don't like the bass to boom too much. I want just enough without any buzzing at all. Any advise?
