As I understand it, there are about three different 'stages' of a/d/s installations, each one costing more than the other and only the final one providing everything.. which is individual amps to handle everything.
It sounds like not having the bass levels flat is the problem.. how many 'ticks' away from central, or flat, does the buzzing problem start? By not keeping it flat, the system is going to introduce artifacts into the signal which the a/d/s amp is only going to make worse as it tries to amplify it.
Maybe by adjusting the front/rear balance, and keeping the bass just one or two safe ticks away, you can come to a compromise..
