The thing to watch for is if the warranty covers "wear and tear" (just like the factory programs do). Most of the afterwarket warranties don't cover this, one I know does: Western National, there may be others.

: I am interested in purchasing warranties through my dealer. As far as I am told, there are three varieties:

: 1. Bumper to bumper - it extends the factory warranty to 6 yrs/100,000 miles.

: 2. Standard Maintenance - it extends the 3yr/36,000 mile maintenance to 4 yrs/50,000 miles.

: 3. Full Maintenance - this covers items such as brakes, wipers, etc. This can be purchased for 3yr/36,000 miles or 4yrs/50,000.

: Has anyone purchased any of these? What was your price? What are everyone's thoughts on the warranties? Thank you.

: Gary
