The TRIP odometer had more miles on it than the CAR odometer. Which means, the trip odometer somehow counted five miles more than the car odometer, at some point before delivery. (This cannot occur by reseting the trip odometer.)

By "grace period" I meant that maybe they get to knock off a few miles off of the CAR odometer to account for driving around the factory before transport. I toured the factory in Munich, and they DO drive the cars off of the line.
