: : Second - there is something strange with your operation. In North America we get the "tropical" version of the IHKA system. The tropical program causes "some settings" to be reactivated after the car is restarted. The non tropical version apparently returns all settings to default, or off condition.
The Car/Key Memory feature on the MY99 does include climate control settings. This is a Key Memory feature, and, unfortunately, it is the only Key Memory feature that cannot be disabled. I think the time dependency (i.e. ~16 minutes) remains, but the climate control settings will go to the last associated with the Key in use.
This may not change anything with regards to what you are saying - except that "after sleep" it may revert to the settings given to the next used Key, as opposed to a single setting remembered for the car.
