: Jon Shafer at Cutter in Santa Barbara is excellent as well as active on this board.
: Terry York BMW in Valencia is excellent too. Got a no-nonsense deal and was treated very well. Talk to Ron Fernandez. Tell him Augie sent you via the internet.
: Nick Alexander downtown will offer to pick up your car and deliver you a loaner for scheduled service. They also seem to do big volume.
: Pacific in Glendale has bargain prices on CD changers...around $400 for some reason.
: Dealers to avoid: Bob Smith is a bunch of Bozos that lost my order for a new car and then couldn't bring themselves to return repeated phone calls. Beverly Hills BMW is a very shady operation with questionable pricing practices and mediocre salespeople. I'm sure others have had better experiences at those dealers but that's my experience.
: For the record, I complained in writing to corporate BMW about these two dealers and got no response.
: You are in a much better bargaining position buying a car in a dealers inventory so shop around. Expect to pay $1500 over invoice plus $400 Maco fee (except at Cutter). Have them throw in mats and tint.
: Good luck!
