I remember seeing some pics of this technology. Basically there's a support 'donut' of some kind installed on the inside of the rim, then the tire is installed over it. Not sure if the actual tire is different than the std SP9000, but it most likely is the same except for the branding.

: Has anyone else seen the ads for the Dunlop 9000DSST (self-supporting technology). They say it's the same tread compound as the regular 9000, but they don't go as far as to say the performance is identical. Any one know any more about this?
