yes, leasing doesn't make sense. But if you are in the market for a CPO E-39 as I am, getting a never-registered car with 150 miles and full warranty ahead of it is pretty interesting. As you probably know, new car loans are cheaper than used. But I would think loan officers and insurers would have a hard time getting around the idea of a 2 year old "new" car. And then, when it was time to sell, you'd have to do a whole song-and-dance about the car's history.
: : I've seen that car...they aquired it from some other dealer, Oregon I think. It has options that you don't really need in southern CA like heated seats. A lease would be very expensive because of the low residual value of a '98. But a cash buyer could make a deal.
