Thanks for the advice on the location of the clip on the driver's seat inside track. I removed it with a small screwdriver (it popped up after a littly prying). The seat now goes back an additional two inches to match the passenger seat. I only needed about half that to be comfortable, and now the seat belt holder is higher too. My car remains defect free right from the dealer; very impressive.
