Our 97 750 with nav can be set to view tv unless we get the "update" which locks out any way to activate it. as it is not we just listen to the channels if we want. 98 and on cars do not even a tuner for TV band so you can't even LISTEN to TV

: Anybody know how to access Codes on NAV equipped 540i? I've heard that this system allows TV reception in Europe -- maybe just a rumor.

: Also, what are the test functions brought up by placing Key in position 1 and pushing Odometer Reset and CHECK control for 4-5 seconds. There's 21 tests - cycle through by pushing CHECK and start/advance by pushing ODO.

: What do all the tests do? Are they the same as the tests for my M3 E-36 OBC-II?
:
: Any hackers out there?
