At least on the German BMW Price/Option list, for MY98 and MY99, I couldn't find any kind of LSD option.

Again, I think BMW simply markets ASC as negating the _need_ for a LSD (regardless of how accurate that statement is). Audi claims the same of it's traction control on front wheel drive models...
