John:

I had a non-sport suspension and there
is a night and day difference with the
Dinan stage 2 suspension.
The sway bar helps tremendously, but you
must remember I did not have the sport
set-up to begin with. I presume that you
do not have the sport set-up in your car
because it was not available in '97
(UNLESS you had a SPECIAL factory order).
If you have the stock suspension, go for the stage 2. You probably just need the stage
1 suspension if you have a factory sport set-up.

Keep in mind that the 18" rims MIGHT make the
car a bit rough on some bumps. Good Luck.

Alex

sway bar : Alex,

: I also have a 97 540iA and am looking to do the same thing. I've been wondering if I should get Stage 1 or Stage 2 suspension. Does the sway bar really helps? Since I bought a set of 18" rims, would it be better to have Stage 2?

: Thanks.

: John
