I don't minde the armrest - it's the lack of storage that I hate.
I assume you know how to slide it forward (as long as you have that type)

Actually I think this is an advantage. It allows you to have them aimed as high as possible while still not preventing spill over of light at oncoming cars - or in the rear of cars ahead of you. After a while that light/dark line seems to fade in terms of noticeability.
