I can tell you what I put in:
1) JL Audio XR525CS component system in the front door (leave the 2" stock midrange speaker hooked up). Tweeters fit in the pillar and 5.25" woofer fits into the stock location. Wonderfully smooth and detailed sound. Don't use the included cross-overs, just replace the drivers. Make sure you get the polarity correct (the wire with the black stripe is negative).
2) Infinity Quartz-Injected 5.25" woofers in the subwoofer. Use only one set of the speaker leads to the new woofer (stock speakers are biwired/dual voice coil). The sub box really needs to be dynamatted and rubber mount bumpers should be attached to the sub box where it contacts the body of the car. This will really tighten up the bass and extend the bass response. The lack of dual voice coil/biwire is made up for by the different ohm rating of the aftermarket speakers.
3) Eclipse Point Source Rear Coaxial 5.25" Speakers in the rear deck. You need to use the crossovers (they fit under the rear deck). The main problem here is that the stock rear deck speakers don't have tweeters and are not cut-off at a low enough frequency. The higher frequencies (trebble) coming out the stock 5.25" paper cone woofer makes for very muddy sound in the back. Putting in coaxes with xovers sends these higher frequencies to the tweeter. Don't worry, you don't end up with strong rear-staging.

: 1. Can someone post recommendations to replace the speakers in the Preium package with appropriate after market speakers. Also, I assume these after -market speakers would fit so that there would be visual evidence of the switch? (I don't want an ugly pasted-on looking solution) (Also, I'm going to lease and I don't want the dealer asking me questions about altering "their" car)
: 2. Does anyone know if the RDS functions, which identify the station, works when the premium audio is installed with the GPS system?
