Not sure on the oil quanties as I no longer have my 97 528i. To get the cap off the wheels, you can just grab the cap and turn counterclock-wise and it should come off. I understand that there's a tool in the toolbox (hopefully the prev owner didn't take that too) to take the cap off as well but you should be able to do it by hand.

: I just bought a 1997 528i with 20,000 miles and want to change the oil. The previous owner still has the owners manual, so I need some help with quantities.

: How many quarts / liters of oil will I need to do an oil and filter change?

: Also, how do you get to the lug nuts. I have the premium package .. the wheels have a center cap with the BMW emblem... no lugs showing. I can't figure out how to remove the center cap.

: All help appreciated.

: Thanks
