: SOrry if this is a bit off topic but I was wondering if any of you know what fees are involved with transferring a car from the United States to Taiwan? I might be taking a job there and need to decide if I'm going to leave my E55 out here or bring it out there. I don't want to pay 100% tax to bring it over. Is there anything that a US company can do to help?
: I've heard that if your working for a US company than you can bring the car over but if you stop working for them you have to bring the car back to the states.

It won't be worth it to bring in your car now because Taiwan should be joining the WTO very soon and that should bring down the import taxes a bit. My brother brought in a NSX and had to pay approx. USD 41,000 in taxes alone!
