Perhaps you have a slightly bent rim on one of the front tires? My recently departed 328 had an un-perceivable bent rim that I only noticed when the car was up getting its oil changed and the mechanic spun the tire. In retrospect, this was causing a steering wheel vibration at speeds over 80 mph. I must have hit a pot hole last winter, i guess. Hopefully this isn't the cause, as tires are cheaper than rims to replace!
