I spent around $1800 including install on my Dinan stage 1 (spring & shocks) and I love it. You don't necessarily need a stage 2 or 3. I will be getting the stage 2 swaybars eventually once they come out for the 528i. Good luck,

: Hi everyone,

: I was stupid, really stupid. When I ordered my 1999 540iA, I did not get the sports package. Needless to say, I am disappointed with the handling of the car and steering input. It seems as if there is very little on center steering feel and the suspension is mushy -- seems softer than my E34 535i. I am willing to spend about 3K to make my car feel the way a true BMW should feel. What should I do? Dinan stuff seems really expensive (way for more than $3K) and I don't want to make the suspension harsh, just tighter. In other words, can I replicate the factory option sports package for a couple of grand?
