If so, that's a tough one... You might look in to getting a set of factory 540 Sport package tires/wheels from someone that has replaced them with an upgrade -- they are for sale quite often on this board. You can probably get a set for about $1700-$2000. Even with a deal like that, you're still looking at more than $3K after a suspension upgrade.

Good luck,

: Hi everyone,

: I was stupid, really stupid. When I ordered my 1999 540iA, I did not get the sports package. Needless to say, I am disappointed with the handling of the car and steering input. It seems as if there is very little on center steering feel and the suspension is mushy -- seems softer than my E34 535i. I am willing to spend about 3K to make my car feel the way a true BMW should feel. What should I do? Dinan stuff seems really expensive (way for more than $3K) and I don't want to make the suspension harsh, just tighter. In other words, can I replicate the factory option sports package for a couple of grand?

: Mike
