It isn't the wait per se that concerns me, or even the possibility of damage. I did put on 2,700 miles in Europe. Although I don't remember any damage, I'd certainly prefer to have any work handled at the VPC where the quality is presumably monitored by the factory.

What bothers me is the utter lack of information. I note that another megaload of BMWs ported today at the same location. I wonder how this will effect the VPC's pace on my car.

Oh well.

: : I think you may be right...A dealer recently told me that after the boat ride and docking inspection some cars are put aside for "touch up". These cars are then worked on in groups based on color ie. silver cars first, then black, etc. Then the cars are released in a group. There can be a wait as it is done in cycles based on color. Don't know if this is true but may be an answer....
