I know some of the people at the M3 message board did the same thing. They were able to use electric bladder, not the manual bulb type. So it should work.

I tried to have BMW install the 740i sport seats in my 540 when I ordered my car but they didn't want to touch that. If someone finds a way to retrofit the lumbar support I would be very interested in knowing how it turned out.

But...maybe I could use this as an excuse to get the M5 ;)

: Hello. I am researching the process of adding a lumbar support to my 2000 sport seat. I'm having a hard time getting comfortable, my lower back not getting enough support. My search of the archive found little that is conclusive on the subject. My dealers parts department groaned and moaned about looking up parts. I persisted and we came across various bits and pieces. I suspect that these should fit on the current seat back frame, consisting of a bladder and pump, along with the electrical switch. Has anyone else done this? Please advice.
: Regards, Lennart
