I have mine mounted on the windshield above the rear view mirror on the passenger side. The display is somewhat obstructed by the mirror but I can still see it enough to know what is going on around me. I ran the cable from the area where the UGDO goes through the split between the headliner and windshield. I looked at the corvette mounting and I think from the inside it looks good but from the outside it just looks ridiculous(i tried that location on mine).

When I first got the detector, the suction cups kept falling off my window as well. I cleaned the cups with dishwashing detergent and cleaned the glass with regular glass cleaner. It's been stuck on there since then. I'd guess it's been about a month.

Hope this helps.
: I find the Valnetine windshield mount to be next to useless. Getting it to adhere reliably is tough. I'd leave it on if I could, but I don't want to leave the V1 out in plain site while parked, and the V1 cannot easily be removed from the bracket without knocking it off the windshield. (All this is true even with new suction cups.)

: The sun visor mount is okay, except that it disables the sun visor!

: So I want to a way to (1) attach the windshield mount semi-permanently, or to (2) find and alternative mount. Along the lines of (1): Anybody find an adhesive useful with the suction cups? In category (2): A couple of weeks ago, NKB posted a message about using a Radio Shack bracket to mount his V1 to the windshield. The posting appears not to made it into the archives, so I cannot refer to it directly.
: What is the Radio Shack product that was used?

: Thanks to all.
