I know about the forged/cast issue even before I bought the Breyton Rims. I know Breyton are cast but I really like the way they look. I really enjoyed how the Breyton Softline change the look of my 95 M3 (sold).
19" Breyton are not very expensive, but I cannot think of any aftermarket 19" that would catch my eye like the Breyton Inspiration.
This is actually the 3rd time I had these rims fixed. First 2 times were at TREWHEEL at Hollywood,CA. and this time I have them fix at my Dinan shop (they are putting my Dinan badge on and they took my rims to this company called WHEELAMERICA)
I was thinking of putting Dinan 18" yesterday but there are 2 concerns:
1. I do not want to go down to 18", because 19" really look much bigger and bolder.
2. I still prefer Breyton's design than anybody else, persoanl preference, Of Course!)
3. I do not want to give up my 19" P-Zeros (Just chaged the rear 2, $400 each)
I've asked Truewheel if they can make my rims stronger as they fix. The answer is "No". They can restore the rims back to 100% new, but there nothing they can do to strengthen the rim because they are cast.
Thank you all for advice and suggesstions. I think I'll just keep my 540i stay away from the rough road from now on!
