:Correction to earlier message:

My '97 528i with 65000 lost it's AST. My dealer claims Bowden cable and a new throttle cable need to be replaced for $500.00. Of course, dealer claims repair is not covered under extended warranty.
: ? Is this a do-it-yourself repair? Are used parts a smart option? Where are the bowdon cable and throttle motor located?
