: Apparently there are 3 different ways to go with seats for the 540iA. The standard 10 way with optional lumbar, the 16 way Comfort seat and the 12 way power sport seat with thigh support. The sport seat is only available with the sports package (I assume). Which seat is worth going to (maybe all are fine and not to be concerned about either one)? I would be concerned about the sports package suspension a little, but I would get it if I knew the seats were more comfortable and supportive. Does the sport seat electrically adjust the thigh support or is it manually done? Thanks ahead for any input.
First things first. Buy the sports package. You won't regret it. If you do choose to do that, you have two options, either the sports seat (the thigh bolster is electrically adjusted) that is standard for that package, or the comfort seat. The standard seat is not normally supplied with the sports package.
For your peace of mind, try both seats out before you order. If you want a tight, supportive seat for high speed handling, you might well find the sports seat is all you need. If you want the ultimate in adjustability and comfort, but without the sports seat's control in high speed handling, getthe comfort seat option. Put another way, if I was doing mostly highway cruising, I'd probably go with the comfort seat.
If I were to buy the standard 540iA, I would almost certainly go with the comfort (or possibly standard) seats. But you don't want to do that.
In any event, sit in the available options and drive them for a bit if at all possible.
