Staying home nothing to do, so I decided to go lunch.
As I hopped on the freeway, I saw this late model white GS400 with maybe 18" or 19" inch chrome wheels (can't tell the exact size due to its weird design), a ridiculous front bumper and the exhaust tip that you'll find in www.riceboypage.com.
That GS400 sure coming fast from behind and passed me (I was going about 85mph, so I figured he is doing 100~110mph as he passes), so I set on my 4th gear and catch him up. Man~ that car is sure ugly, especially with that ass and its Robotech modifications. The driver appeared to be a Asian guy, 25~ 28 years of age (I cannot believe someone at his age range actually dressed up the car like that.)
Okay, so we go head to head to130mph, he is still following (I'm up front now, as usual). 140mph, still following but my car is obviously pulling away from him. As I hit the 150mph, I figured that I'm going to fast and I just missed my exit. I kept going, my speedometer has reached 155mph and the GS is trailing by about 8~10 car length. I got a feeling that the driver is always staring at my DINAN emblem.
What's the matter Mr. Toyota V8 Vtti? Can't catch up? What happened to your 300horeses?
At 157 mph (my speedometer only read to 155mph, the needle has passed it), I figured if I go any further I might find a LAPD chopper above my head, so I slow down, let GS passed me and took the next exit then go backwards to the restaurant I was going to go in the beginning. And we'll call that for the day. (?)
Park the car, walk into the restaurant (Italian, Great food very similar to Neiman Marcus Café) 20 minutes later (I usually eat very fast, according to my friends) I finished my meal. I then figured that I still have nothing to do so I decided to go my Dinan Authorized Dealer to talk to people and order my K&N filter (It's been 10000 miles, I want a replacement).
Stopped on the red light just a few block before the freeway, and guess what?! Yep! The same Mr. GS 400 has pulled right behind the Eagle Talon next to me. (Are you stalking me Mr. Robotech?) As the light went green, the GS cuts off the Eagle Talon and paralleled with me, so we came to the next stop. Now I can see his rims appears to be somekinda 3-piece 18".
I tired to get an eye contact but guess Mr. GS don't play that way, his eyes are aim to the front. Okay, I guess he does not appreciate the way I look, maybe I need a haircut. LOL…
Set my foot on the gas and brake, RPM at 2300. As the light goes Green, I floored the car ehile seeing a bit smoke coming from GS's tail.
Same old story, we are pretty much even to 45mph, but as I first gear ends, my second gear staring to fire up from 5200RPM, GS started to fall behind (My thanks to Dinan Tranny chip), as I passed under the freeway bridge, I made a quick U-Turn and hop on the freeway and headed home. Forget about going to Dinan, I just wanna go home and post something on the E39 Message Board!
So there you have it! We'll call that for the day! An rather-interesting match up with GS400.
Is that GS still following me??
