: I sampled the non-premium and found it worse than terrible. I did not know about the ADS upgrades [remainder deleted]

Stock sound system w/ CD changer and with A/D/S or equivalent upgrade. Easy to do, clean install, moderate price. Car cabin is quiet enough that you don't need megawatts of audio for any reasonable music.

1) Make an adaptor that installes between the stock amp connector and 26 pin wiring harness plug to provide a pair of signals (pins 1, 2,3, and 4 - 1 & 4 ground, 2,&3 "Hot") from the rear channel inputs to the stock amp.
2) Use a crimp on "tap" connector to the white wire to the 12 pin connector to the stock amp to get a "turn on" +12 volt signal to key on a subwoofer amp.
3) Mount a subwoofer amp on a sealed enclosure with a 10" sub woofer (I used 0.8 cu. ft. box wit JBL 10").
4) Connectorize all connections from the car to the sub woofer amp so you can easily remove the amp/speaker module if you occasionally need the trunk space and the radio will play as stock.
5) Pick up ower and ground at the battery and run over to wherever you choose in the trunk to locate the amplifier/speaker module.

Done.
