BMW 528 or Lexus GS 300 (archive)

Trying to decide which car to purchase. Can anyone shed some light on this subject? When comparing the two what are the pros and cons? I have not driven nor sat in the cars, so what do you think my initial impression would be as soon as I sit and test drive each one of these cars?
