: Larry posted a link to the 7-series board to help get into the seat back to do his "toilet plunger" fix on the lumbar support. It first says to remove the seat back cover that includes the pocket. In the E39 that is a big plastic shell. Can anyone give instructions on how to remove that shell? I do not see any screws or clips. Thanks, Michael
Grap it at the bottom and push hard toward the centre cosole while pulling outward on the other side. Once the one side come out repeat in the other direction.
The clips must move sideways to free themselves from the holder bracket.
Then pull down.
Make sure you get the top tabs back under the bar when reinstalling - and it sometimes takes some feeling around to get the lower tabs in the right position before you push them back in the bracket.
The upper panel comes off by pulling downward and then back toward you at the bottom of the panel.
Cheers
