: I'd be interested in any feedback from people who've used a roof rack on their E39. Has anyone bought the BMW E39 roof rack? Is it fairly easy to take on and off, and are you happy with it? Or might I be just as satisfied with a Thule or some other brand for a little less $?

: Thanks, Craig

I have the BMW rack that uses the bolt holes in the roof.

I love it.

Easy to put on and off (one person can do it). I also got the universal tie down straps.

Racks can be easily stored in the trunk if you want to take them with you but not on the roof.

When running with nothing on the racks there is some extra wind noise.
