Hi Mike,

At the time I purchased my car (y2k 540i6) I decided to extend the bumper-to-bumper warranty, if nothing else, just for peace of mind. I also purchased the 7yr 100k miles warranty because I plan to keep the car for a while. Will I ever use/need it? Who knows, but at least I'm covered should something go wrong.

Russ

: I have just put a deposit down on the above car. One of the many programs that the dealership wants to sell me is the maintenance upgrade. This takes the free maintenance out to 4 years and 50,000 miles. the price is $499. This being my first BMW, I am not familiar with the cost of regular maintenance. I plan to keep the car at least 50,000 miles. Is This a Good deal?

: I have been reading this board for the past couple of weeks and have been very impressed by the information, and community. Thanks in advance.
