The original post said that the M5 with the 100k price tag was at "an exotic car dealer in NE Ohio." Not once did he say this was at an authorized BMW dealer! This is no surprise. Whether or not that price is realistic or not, do you really think an authorized dealer would be so arrogant as to advertise it like that??? It is very common for highline dealers to buy "the latest hot thing" at auction with very low miles at WELL over MSRP. Then they in turn mark it up even more-and someone will pay it! If the delaer in question is Marshall Goldman that is exactly what is happening. It's like the Harley feeding frenzy of the last few years. Do you wait for 1-2 years for your bike, or do you pay 3-4 k more for a gray market/speculator piece and ride now?

Face it folks-simple supply and demand! That's not personal-it's just economics. Being the first kid on the block with a new toy has its price. And secretly, wouldn't we all like to be so lucky?

Just my .02.
