An interesting tilt on this is that for about the first four years of production GM was not using it themselves, even though it was more advanced than the others they were using.

: I saw the TSB below and called my dealer and they said they get the tranny on the 528iA from GM. I wonder if this is the same as what Volvo uses in the S-80T. The service manager at the BMW dealer said that BMW uses one of the smae transmissions as the Corvette. Were you guys aware of this?
