I am 6'2" and normally have back pains in my cars.. I have put thousands of miles on my 1997 528i and love the seats. I lay the seats back so that my ear is listening to the rear speaker. So I am reclined. The mild lumbar in the bottom of the seat back then actually pushes into my back. I think this is why my lower back has not been hurting. This is how I LIKE to sit though. Also - I have PLENTY of headroom.
: Last week, I picked up a 1997 528i - I absolutely love the car! However, I've been getting some back pain when I drive it. I have a history of lower back problems and am a bit tall - 6' 1". The car does not have a comfort seat and I can't tell if it's the seating position, the vibrations or the lack of lumbar support that's causing the problem. The seat is a bit lower than what I'm used to and the car also has a moonroof (does this decrease the headroom?) Has anybody run into this problem and if so, were you able to solve it?
