Mine works about 75ft., but I have them (factory installed equipment) in 2 Chrysler products and both of these seem to have a little better range than the BMW. The one in my minivan will open the door from the end of my street (at least 200 feet).

: I just installed the UGDO on my 97 528i, and the range of the transmitter sucks!!! I had a Nissan Maxima SE that had a homelink system in it, and I could open my garage door from about 150 feet away. With the UGDO I can't open the garage unless I pull right up to the door. Any ideas, or known distance limitations?
