I have a 2000 540/6 and am mystified how I can leave 30 feet of equal length rubber without having a limited slip rear end. No rack & pinion may reduce the feel but it really is quite good for a car this size and weight. The engine is incredibly flexible and remains tractable down to 35 in 6th. 1st to 2nd shift can take some practice but is smooth if done at low rpm.
