The M-B museum is worth a visit at Stuttgart. Well, its actually in Bad Cannstatt, about 5 miles North East of Stuttgart. You will see the signs or ask anybody.
Once you start getting closer, you will see the 3 pointed star on signs directing you to the DaimlerChrysler HQ. These are next to the soccer stadium. The museum is right there at the HQ.
The Porsche museum is pretty small, they have about 20 cars on display. It is at Zuffenhausen, about 10 miles North West of Stuttgart. It is tucked away behind the Porsche buildings, so keep a sharp lookout for the sign.
Do go and visit the BMW museum too. It is right there at the BMW HQ where you will pick up the car. You can also tour the BMW Munich factory where they build the E46 sedan and E36 compact. Well worth a visit. You have to book in advance for this.
: Wow!! time flies, I've got less than 2 weeks togo to meet my 540ia out in Munich. .... YES!!! I am very anxious.
: I will be arriving at "Munchen" at Feb 13 from LAX.
: Based on this boards advice, I will be staying at Hotel Jederman in Munich. Will be staying there for the first two days, and the rest depends on the weather.
: Ideally, I would like to go to Stutgart to see some Mercedes and Porschs. I would also like to goto Salzburg and Innsbruck, by my understanding is that, to get to these places, I would have to drive thru the Alps. If so, i don't think I want to drive my new car in middle of nowhere, in deep snow.
: Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.
