The feature that allows you to open the windows remotely is called "comfort open". There is also a "comfort close" feature that is available in some markets.

But it is not an option that can be turned on in the version of software that is in the cars in North America.

Apparently BMW is concerned about lawsuits of someone getting caught in a closing window.

This does not make sense because the windows are equipped with the "anti trap" sensors which make them reverse if something is caught.

However BMW will not even talk about adding the "comfort close' option here. Maybe they need more letters from owners.

It sure sould make it easy to close your car from inside when it starts to rain, etc.
