: I've seen a few posts here about removing the pin in the drivers seat so it can go back further, to extend the leg room. I asked my dealer about it and got a blank stare. I can't find the old posts related to this topic - can anyone repost or reply to this so I can bring it up with my dealer more definitively in the next discussion?
: Thanks
You don't need to talk the dealer as you can easily do this yourself with a pair of long nose pliers or even a screwdriver used as a pry bar. Look for a clip on the seat rail....on my car it was on the right side...that looks like a hairclip. They put it right in the track at the rear of the rail, and it's about 2" long or so.
I drove around with it in my ashtry for a month or two, but as it seemed to be the stupidest part I'd ever seen, I finally gave it the heave ho into the circular file.
